“Movement as a way of knowing yourself.”

Dance practice, embodied awareness and an individual approach to movement.

Maria has taught dance since 2020, working with students of different ages and levels, in groups and one to one. Her work rests on classical dance technique, biomechanics, balance, coordination, musicality and expressiveness.

Her background in psychology gives her a sharper view of how body, attention and self-perception connect. Maria develops her own dance manner and visual identity, and takes part in dance camps, festivals and study trips across Europe.

Here Maria will write how she trained, with whom, what inspired her and why movement became her way of knowing herself. In her own words, like a quote.

Maria was the muse and co-author of the CHERNAMARS art, and later co-founded the MADDER studio.

CHERNAMARS is an artistic universe of Martian futurism. Together with the project's author, Maria imagined what that world could be: its people, their beliefs and philosophy, their art, their dances and their very way of moving. Part of this visual language lives on her body, in tattoos that each carry a unique design.

At the MADDER studio the concept took on a body in the real world: performances, tattoos, preparing projects and systematic work to make the idea ever more tangible. Red and black, sensuality, a feeling for harmony, nature and the spiritual side of a person: Maria's taste shaped much of the character of these projects.

This experience became her creative school: thinking in images and in systems at once, and working with concept, space and body as a single material.
